So if I can stand in the middle of the road taking photos of the barrier, is the road really so dangerous that it needs the barrier?

More mysterious symbols added to the NCN1 sign.

I guess they never thought that anyone would cycle to the industrial units, so never thought to install a dropped kerb where the path meets the road. Of course, the majority of users will be going the other way, so why the turn away from ... [more]

A newly installed barrier right over the end of the path at a minor road crossing at Tweedside Park.

Full route signs at a minor access point on NCN1, but why does the sign pointing left refer to (1)?

Route sign for the Abbotsford Link at the Tweedbank Drive toucan crossing.

The Abbotsford Link uses the not exactly wide footway on the south side of Tweedbank Drive, before crossing to join NCN1 on the north side at the toucan crossing.

Clear signage at the road junction of NCN1 and the Abbotford Link. The Abbotsford Link itself takes the footway on the opposite side of Tweedbank Drive.

Signage continues for the Abbotsford Link.

An unexpected 'End of Cycle Route' sign, given that we haven't reached either Tweedbank station or NCN1 yet. The route continues along the road, see #91202.

The Abbotsford Link turns left out of the underpass, which has murals on a transport theme.

The Abbotsford Link continues towards Tweedbank station, including an underpass beneath Tweedbank Drive.

A sign for the Abbotsford Link to NCN1 at Tweedbank station.

Signs for the Abbotsford Link in Tweedbank Park.

A sign for the red spot route and a green triangle route, different from the sign in #91184.

The Southern Upland Way joins NCN1 from a woodland path. The two join back together a short distance to the south.

Temporary diversion signs for both NCN1 and "leading to NCN1". But I thought this actually was NCN1.

The railway path leaves Winston Road on a rather steep ramp.

Signs for NCN1 and the Southern Upland Way. The route to Abbotsford is down a flight of steps. The route ahead shares the railway bridge with the actual railway.
